As an update one the Genie Timeline situation I have since had a one of the programmers on my machine and he has cracked the problem. I'm not sure what the cause was but hopefully he was able to take something away to improve stability in a future version but for now I have a working system and am very impressed with the support offered by the Genie9 team.
